Forklift anti-collision system

The ALIS Shield autonomous anti-collision system is designed to protect pedestrians and handling equipment in busy and confusing operations of large and medium-sized companies. The system is based on wireless communication between forklift and personal tags. Based on the information about the mutual distance, the tags activate predefined actions.

PROTECTION OF HANDLING EQUIPMENT

Collision Avoidance Solution

Wireless peer-to-peer solution between two forklift tags placed on the roof of the handling equipment. Two-phase adjustment of the MHE speed in two predefined zones (warning and danger zone). MHE collision avoidance system is compatible with all manufacturers of electric handling equipment.

Possible extensions:

  • Autonomous slow down of the handling equipment for up to two phases compared to another handling technique in the event of a potential collision.
  • LED safety vest for pedestrians.
  • Signaling of danger inside the forklift cabin in 3 colors (red, orange, green).
  • Option to add sirens to the forklift driver’s cabin.

PAS (Pedestrian Anti-Collision System)

The wireless solution based on an AI powered camera and monitor enables a quick and smooth upgrade of the collision avoidance for forklift drivers and other handling equipment. The autonomous system offers a solution for autonomous pedestrian detection in a variably adjustable zone relative to the handling equipment.

LED safety vest

Pedestrian protection in operation

A wireless solution based on UWB technology and LED signaling brings a new standard in the field of safety for people moving in environments with handling equipment. The LED safety vest functions as an interactive element of the collision avoidance, which warns pedestrians of approaching equipment before danger occurs. Thanks to the wireless connection with UWB units on the MHE, automatic presence detection and immediate triggering of the LED warning signal directly on the vest are ensured.

MHE Speed Adjustment

Autonomous speed zone limit

Autonomous deceleration of handling equipment to the required speed when entering critical zones or unclear traffic areas (e.g. in rack aisles). Two-phase deceleration of the machine is available in two variants.

  • Circular speed limit – local deceleration of the MHE in critical areas of operation;
  • Directional adjustment of the maximum MHE speed when entering halls and separate areas, e.g.: maximum forklift speed 6 km/h in the entire production hall (the system is deactivated when exiting the determined zone).

Industrial gate protection

Wireless communication between the fleet and company assets for smooth and safe passage through industrial doors. Solution for smooth and safe operation in three steps:

  • Autonomous door control based on peer-to-peer communication between the MHE tag and the reader.
  • Two-phase deceleration of the MHE in synergy with automatic door opening.
  • Automatic stop in front of the gate including system blocking of the MHE movement until the door is 100% open.

Illuminated floor markings

Intelligent floor marking controlled by the movement of handling equipment. The most common examples of use are dynamic pedestrian crossings vs. warning / prohibition symbol. The pedestrian crossing is switched on only in the case of a safe crossing of the road. The STOP / warning symbol is switched on only in the case of the presence of a MHE at a dangerous distance from the intersection.
